We are constantly upgrading our hardware to keep up-to-date with latest developments. Mark, our Creative Director, has a new 30" screen which enables him to work on more than the usual four jobs at any one time. We have also upgraded the website development server, to a brand new purpose built Dell Power Edge System, this has added a significant increase in both speed and reliability for both client and our design and developers.

We are very pleased to announce that our Environmental Management System has been accredited to BS8555. The whole team worked hard on introducing systems that enable us to reduce our environmental impact on the planet. After a substantial length of time developing the ASG website (client has the right to change his mind and add features as often as he likes...) we are pleased to announce that the site is now live! On the news section of the site the client is kind enough to write: “Well done to Mono Design for all of their hard work and ideas. And special thanks to Lynne Bramwell and Robert Wild for putting up with us and our numerous changes and updates pre launch to the site..!

We were thrilled to be asked to submit designs for this year’s National Teaching Awards. We were asked to tender based on the standard of the design work on our website. Unfortunately, although our designs were extremely well received, we were pipped at the post by a design company local to the client.

After a couple of frantic month's work January saw the launch of the EPM rebrand. Glyn Poxon, EPM Director says:
"In terms of the recent exercise of rebranding we decided early in the process under Mark’s advice that this whole rebranding exercise should be about evolvement and development as opposed to radical change, in order to reflect and portray the exciting developments and advances being made within our Company. Not losing sight of our past but building upon strong values and a sound reputation for quality and high levels of customer service was key amongst our criteria. Once a theme was decided upon with Mono Design they have consistently provided clear guidance with plenty of choice throughout the whole programme. The end result for us reflects our history, our future and our culture combined in a suite of marketing images that are strong combined with carefully chosen script that delivers a clear message to customers & suppliers alike as to our offering to market"!!

We are pleased to welcome Holly who has joined Mono as our studio junior. Holly is currently on a gap year before starting a degree in Media Production at Derby University in September. She already has experience in film editing, and her excellent video highlighting her trip to Ethiopia can be seen at www.ethiopia2006.co.uk.

Congratulations to our lovely designer Laura and her partner Rob who welcomed baby Cameron into their family on 2nd July.
We were thrilled to be shortlisted to create the branding and write the marketing strategy for the Creative Apprenticeships established by Creative and Cutural Skills. It just proves what we already knew - that Midlands agencies are able to compete with London ones, and win!

We're currently producing a huge bounty of goodies for the National Express Group's annual awards. As in previous years we're creating the on screen presentation, seating plans, invitations, award cards, certificates and the awards themselves. This year they've also commissioned a guide booklet which explains what to do i.e. keep your speech short and what not to do i.e. boo if you don't win. Nominees will also be getting customised fortune cookies, although no guarantees they'll identify the real winners!

We've had a large number of people recently asking us to create html newsletters that they can e-mail to their clients. Our web designer Rob has been busy setting up templates for various different companies allowing them to send formatted messages including images, logos and links; both inside the newsletter and to online contents. We liked his designs so much, we've created a template for ourselves (watch your in-box for the results!)

With online retailing breaking new records every day, it's become more important than ever to maximise our client's visibility online. For luxury luggage brand Uppercase, our marketing campaign includes getting mentions in relevant blogs (web-logs or online diarys for those technophobes out there). We're particularly chuffed with this one: wantneedhave.blogspot.com

We've sweated out our hangovers, eaten all the left-overs and returned any unwanted presents... which means that Mono Design is now back open for business.
